Next-generation firewall (NGFW) deployment & management: Firewall policy that is precise, auditable and enforced.
We design, deploy and manage next-generation firewalls for data centers, branches and cloud. Policy is written around applications and users instead of ports, inspected with threat prevention and TLS decryption, and kept clean as your network changes.

Outcomes
Security you can explain, line by line
A firewall is only as good as its policy. We make sure yours reflects how the organization actually works and holds up to scrutiny.
-
01
Visibility by application and user
Application identification and user mapping show who is using which applications, so policy decisions and incident investigations start from facts rather than port numbers and IP addresses.
-
02
A smaller attack surface
Least-privilege rules, zone-based segmentation, TLS decryption and threat prevention limit what can reach sensitive systems and inspect what does.
-
03
A rule base that survives an audit
Every rule has an owner, a purpose and a tag. Unused, shadowed and overly broad rules are found and removed on a schedule.
What we deliver
Deployment, policy and operations, end to end
Greenfield deployments, migrations and ongoing policy management. We confirm the exact scope in writing before any configuration is committed.
Deployment and architecture
- Firewall placement, zone design and sizing inputs from real traffic data
- Zones and segmentation for users, servers, OT, guests and the DMZ
- Active/passive or active/active high availability with link and path monitoring
- Centralized management with shared policy, device templates and role-based administration
- Virtual firewalls for private and public cloud environments
- NAT, dynamic routing and site-to-site IPsec VPN
Policy and threat prevention
- Application-aware security rules in place of port-based rules
- User- and group-based policy tied to your directory or identity provider
- Threat prevention profiles: IPS, anti-malware, URL filtering, DNS security and sandboxing of unknown files
- Outbound and inbound TLS/SSL decryption with documented exclusions
- Remote-access VPN with SAML sign-on and device posture checks
- Zone protection, DoS protection and threat intelligence block lists
Migration and operations
- Migration from legacy firewalls, with rule translation and cleanup
- Log forwarding of traffic, threat and decryption logs to your SIEM
- Software upgrade planning with HA-aware sequencing
- Threat signature and application content update schedules
- Configuration backups, change review and change records
- Rule change requests handled against a written policy standard
Rule-base audit and cleanup
Years of exceptions leave most firewalls with rules nobody can explain. We review hit counts, traffic logs and rule order, then deliver a prioritized cleanup plan and carry it out in controlled stages.
Request a policy reviewWhat we look for
- Unused
- Rules with no hits across the review period
- Shadowed
- Rules that never match because a broader rule sits above them
- Overly permissive
- Any source, destination, application or service where a specific value belongs
- Port-based
- Candidates for conversion to application-aware rules, based on observed traffic
- No threat profile
- Allowed traffic that is never inspected for threats
- No log forwarding
- Rules whose logs never reach your SIEM
How we work
A policy lifecycle, not a one-time install
Each phase produces something your security and audit teams can review before the next one begins.
-
01
Assess
We export and analyze the current rule base, NAT, VPN and routing. Hit counts and traffic logs show what is actually in use and what is not.
Output: rule-base analysis
-
02
Design
Zones, high availability, management hierarchy and decryption scope, plus a policy standard covering rule naming, tags, threat profiles and log forwarding.
Output: design and policy standard
-
03
Migrate and deploy
Rules are translated and rationalized, staged in central management and cut over by zone or site, while we watch traffic logs for unexpected denies.
Output: cutover plan and as-built configuration
-
04
Optimize and manage
Port-based rules move to application-aware rules, threat profiles are tightened and the rule base is reviewed periodically, with software and threat content kept current.
Output: periodic review reports
Where it fits
Where firewall policy carries real weight
Built for government agencies, regulated enterprises and companies in the USA and internationally, with engineers on-site and remote.
-
Government agencies
Boundary protection and segmentation designed with frameworks like NIST SP 800-53 in mind, with logging that feeds your SIEM and audit processes.
-
Payment and healthcare environments
Cardholder and patient data isolated behind zone-based policy that is aligned to your PCI DSS and HIPAA requirements.
-
Multi-site organizations
Consistent policy across many firewalls through centralized management with shared rules and templates, and local overrides only where a site truly needs them.
-
Hybrid workforce
Remote-access VPN with device posture checks, so remote users reach internal applications under the same policy as the office.

Platform experience: Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls · Panorama
Yes. We translate the existing policy, NAT and VPN configuration, but we do not copy it blindly. Unused and duplicate rules are dropped, objects are consolidated and port-based rules are flagged for conversion to application-aware rules after cutover.
Decryption is scoped deliberately. We exclude sensitive categories such as financial services and health, add exclusions for applications that pin certificates, and roll out in stages while reviewing decryption logs.
If you run several firewalls, or consistency across sites matters, a central management platform lets you maintain shared policy and templates in one place. A single HA pair can often be managed locally. We recommend an approach based on your environment and how your team operates.
Yes. We handle rule change requests against your policy standard, keep software and threat content current and run periodic rule-base reviews. See managed network services for a continuing arrangement.
