Who we are

Experience from where the network is the mission.

Our engineers bring enterprise network engineering experience since 2009, including environments where the network carries the mission. That team experience includes network projects supporting US and NATO initiatives in Afghanistan.

Our team has also worked with government agencies, regulated enterprises and companies, internationally and in the USA. Our engineers work on-site and remote, in line with US regulations, across network design, routing and switching, next-generation firewalls, network access control, zero trust access, enterprise wireless and structured cabling.

That experience shapes how we operate: plan carefully, document completely and never make a change without a way back. Every engagement gets the same discipline, whether the scope is a single site or a multi-site enterprise.

Arpgate is registered with the IRS and the State of Maryland. We are also building Arpgate Glance, a network monitoring platform designed to be radically simpler to use than traditional monitoring tools.

Mission and values

Networks that are reliable, secure and understood.

Our mission is to make the network the most dependable part of your organization: engineered with care, secured from the first design and documented so your team is never guessing.

Four principles define our engineering culture. They apply to every engagement, every change window and every engineer on the team.

  1. Document everything

If it is not written down, it is not done. Designs, changes and configurations come with diagrams, runbooks and as-built records your team owns.

  2. Security by design

Segmentation, least-privilege access and policy belong in the first draft, not a retrofit. We design with frameworks like NIST SP 800-53 and NIST CSF in mind.

  3. No surprises

Changes are planned, reviewed with you and scheduled, each with a rollback plan. You hear about risks before they become outages.

  4. Own the outcome

The work is finished when your network runs well, not when a ticket closes. We trace problems to root cause and fix them properly.

Why the name Arpgate

Named for how networks actually connect.

Every network depends on two quiet mechanisms. Our name comes from both.

ARP
Address Resolution Protocol. It maps an IP address to the hardware (MAC) address of the device that owns it, so traffic on the local network reaches the right machine.
GATE
Gateway. The router that connects one network to another. Traffic leaving your network passes through it, which makes it the natural place to route, inspect and control.

Together they describe our work: connect the right systems reliably, and secure the path between them.

Engineers in your facility

For work that needs hands on hardware and close coordination with your people on the ground.

  • Racking, cable management, patch panels and fiber
  • Access point mounting, power, labeling and testing
  • Router, switch and firewall installation
  • Cutovers and hands-on troubleshooting

Remote

Engineering without the travel

For design, configuration and ongoing support over the access methods your security team approves.
